An energy-efficient furnace will help you:

HRAI would like to announce the 2008 Cool Savings Rebate Program. Homeowners may now qualify for up to $550 in total rebates. The new rebate levels for the 2008 program are as follows:

• A $25 rebate to homeowners who have a programmable thermostat installed by a participating contractor.

• A $125 rebate to homeowners who purchase a replacement mid or high efficiency furnace equipped with an Electronically Commutated Motor (ECM). This includes all gas, propane, oil and electric furnaces, as well as air handlers included on the ECM Eligibility List.

• A $250 rebate to homeowners for the purchase of a replacement Energy Star qualified central air conditioning system, heat pump or ductless split system (NOTE: Energy Star criteria minimum 14 SEER and 11.5 SEER).

• A $400 rebate to homeowners for the purchase of a replacement standalone “Tier 2” level central air conditioning system (NOTE: “Tier 2” criteria minimum 15 SEER and 12.5 SEER).

• A $525 rebate to homeowners who purchase a replacement central air conditioning system (or heat pump) where the efficiency ratings meets or exceeds the “Tier 2” level when combined with the purchase of a replacement (mid or high efficiency) furnace equipped with an ECM or air handler (included on the ECM Eligibility List) (NOTE: this also includes all ground source heat pumps).

All installations must be performed by a program registered contractor between April 1, 2008 through to December 31, 2008.
