Occupant controlled energy efficient ventilation for typical vertical stack applications
The Integrated Vertical Stack (IVS) with Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) is the first of its kind giving high rise condos, apartments, and hotels a new ventilation option. Occupants can now control their own energy efficient ventilation system which incorporates a hydronic coil for heating and cooling along with an HRV.
Unlike typical condo suites, the built-in HRV eliminates the need for residents to be dependent on warm fresh air that is filtered in from the corridors. The patented aluminum core transfers heat from the stale exhausting air to the fresh incoming air, producing the ultimate clean air environment. Now condo residents can take responsibility for their dwelling's energy usage, instead of being dependent on a shared load.
System designers may choose between three different fan coil models that offer 1, 1.5 or 2 tons of cooling and provide 400 CFM to 800 CFM. Its modern design is easily concealed behind a wall with only the unit's grille visible. It has a small footprint size of 19”x19”, and stands 84” tall.
The Ventmax IVS has the flexibility to meet various building designs with its multiple configurations. It can be installed in a vertical stack or stand alone application, while supply configurations can be direct supply or ducted.
Benefits include reduced maintenance, along with low install and operational costs. Standard IVS units are equipped with PSC motors, but energy efficient ECM motors are available to provide the resident with additional savings. The typical power consumption of an IVS 1.5 with ECM motor at low speed is 20 watts.
