Sales and Application Engineer

Airia Brands Inc. is seeking a highly self-driven, motivated Sales and Application Engineer to join the team. The Sales and Application Engineer is responsible for influencing decision makers (engineers, mechanical contractors, consulting engineering firms) to specify Lifebreath products. The Sales and Application Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to customers to increase sales of Lifebreath products and support the internal Sales team with technical questions. The Sales and Application Engineer must be a technical evangelist for ERV/HRV technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying specific applications for company’s products and target active and potential customers, determine if company’s products can be incorporated into customer product/service programs.
  • Routinely call on and support our customers, which include Mechanical Contractors, Consulting Engineering firms and Facility Owners / Developers.
  • Perform product demos to customers (engineering companies) in person and virtually.
  • Complete quarterly training with internal Sales team.
  • Deliver product requirement and manufacturing requirement documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
  • Regularly schedule account reviews for previous sales, new business opportunities and monthly forecasting.
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition.
  • Design effective marketing strategies and sales campaigns to generate sales from new and existing customers and ensure all sales goals/targets are met.
  • Participate in home shows, industry groups, seminars, development of strategic partnerships.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest market conditions, product and price changes building code changes, heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Mechanical Engineering program.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a HVAC.
  • In depth knowledge of ERV/HRV technology and their applications and limitations, inherent cost/price, structures, acquired through several months of on-the-job training and upgrading courses.
  • Learning ability to acquire and apply a knowledge of the persuasive techniques of selling and to become familiar with products and technical expertise regarding installation and operation.
  • Ability to interpret financial and sales data, financial statements, calculation of gross margin, analyze which sales /marketing techniques are most effective.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
  • Showcase proficiency in both spoken and written English to ensure effective communication with customers and team members.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, particularly in translating technical information into easily comprehensible terms for diverse audiences.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Must be able to frequently travel within North America.
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve.
  • Engages and inspires.
